Julie Makepeace
President
Prior to founding Alliance Sales and Marketing, Ms. Makepeace was a member of the original Executive Team at Working Ventures Canadian Fund, Canada’s first national labour-sponsored investment fund. As Senior Vice President, Marketing she was responsible for raising more than $860 million in assets. Since then, under various types of contracts, Julie has supported numerous asset management companies in launching their firms and/or new investment products and can point to an impressive track record of capital-raising success. Ms. Makepeace’s strategic planning and marketing expertise was grounded in years of senior management positions with one of Canada’s Schedule A Banks. Ms. Makepeace is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Cristina Warlop
Vice President, Ontario and Eastern Canada
Cristina joined Alliance Sales and Marketing in September 2012 as Vice President, Ontario and Eastern Canada. With over 20 years of experience in Canada’s financial industry, Ms. Warlop has held senior sales positions with CI Funds, GGOF, Excel Funds and Blumont Capital. She has a remarkably keen understanding of the investment process and the most thorough and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of every investment product she promotes. Time and again Cristina has demonstrated an impressive ability to devise customized sales strategies for investment advisors, thereby winning their business and loyalty. She is a very bright individual with fabulous relationship management skills and a powerful work ethic. Ms. Warlop is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in Economics and Political Science (Honours). She lives in Toronto with her husband and young daughter.
